A few days ago, in Kyiv, Ukrainian Fashion Week ended, where national designers presented their innovative views and stylistic solutions for the upcoming season. The fashion event lasted from February 14 to 17, symbolically starting on Valentine's Day.
Over 40 Ukrainian brands and designers presented their collections during the four full days of the event. Orxata team also became a part of the fashion season and presented its jewelry on the main catwalk of the country. Read on to find out how it was and which designers appeared in our top!
Nadya Dzyak
The show by Nadya Dzyak became a real highlight of the first day of Ukrainian Fashion Week FW25-26. Decorative elements in the form of circles played the main role in each of the presented looks, reflecting the cyclical nature of the universe, continuous movement and, according to the designer herself, were inspired by the art of the internally displaced person from Bakhmut.
To add a special chip to the show, Nadia Dzyak invited Orxata transforming Jewelry to complement the catwalk looks with its unique pieces. Transforming jewelry became the perfect complement to the meanings embedded in this collection due to its functionality and variety of manifestations. Cuff-necklaces streamed over the shoulders, creating an additional accent, and long pendants of slave bracelets became like an extension of the models' thin fingers and created a wow effect.
FROLOV
This is not the first fashion season that designer Ivan Frolov has shocked and inspired with his shows. This time, he opened the Fashion Week and turned his presentation into a real concert with Ukrainian rock divas performing. It was a unique musical accompaniment for his collection "Brudna Yak Anhel" ("Dirty as an Angel"), which is a retrospective to the nineties and zeroes - the era of freedom in manifestations, the era of emo and goths, the era of rock revival.
TONiA
The second day of the Fashion Week was notable for the show by TONiA, where the designer reinterpreted the cultural heritage of the ancient Slavs, in particular the Ants. In the new collection, she combined modern shapes with elements of clothing typical for these ancient tribes. A special place was given to a variety of accent jewelry that had a sacred meaning for the Ants. To add to the atmosphere of the show, the models' walks were complemented by aromatic perfumes that immersed the audience in the action.
Gasanova
This brand is one of the favorites of Ukrainian fashionistas. So, this time it was Gasanova who had the honor of closing UFW FW25-26 with its show. Designer Elvira Gasanova created a truly unforgettable runway presentation, where professional dancers took to the catwalk instead of models to demonstrate the looks, accompanying them with their graceful movements. The collection is inspired by the strength, determination and courage of Ukrainian women. It combines luxurious elegance, fragility, and boldness.
Juliya Kros
The collection presented by the designers of the Juliya Kros brand is a manifest of strong women who, despite various types of disabilities, always move forward, demonstrating their beauty, confidence, and inner strength. The brand's stylistic solutions can be easily adapted to the wardrobe of women with vision loss, women in wheelchairs, etc., offering functional cuts and transformability of designs.
This season of Ukrainian Fashion Week was the second after a 2.5-year pause due to the armed invasion of the neighbors. Each show and presentation was under the threat of disruption due to air raid or shelling, which only adds more honor to the organizers and brands.
The Orxata transforming jewelry team is extremely proud of its contribution to the country's main fashion event and plans (spoiler alert) to return to the Ukrainian Fashion Week schedule this year. Follow the announcements in our social networks)
